Khapra beetle pheromone (Trogoderma granarium)
Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium).
For best results, use the lure with XLure traps. Placed in storage "on a grid" at a distance of 8-10 meters from each other. In the case of mass reproduction of the pest, more baits may be needed.
Manufacturer: Russell IPM
A pheromone bait for monitoring and trapping the khapra beetle, also known as the cabinet beetle (Trogoderma granarium), a dangerous quarantine pest of cereal stocks. The insect damages a variety of stored foods including wheat, barley, oats, rye, corn, rice, flour, malt, noodles, legumes, cocoa, nuts, and milk powder, as well as many other grains, oilseeds, and high-protein dried foods. Uncontrolled populations of Trogoderma granarium lead to large losses.
Advantages:
- for 6 weeks, male Trogoderma granarium are attracted by bait and caught by a trap, which gives a clear picture of the pest population;
- pest detection at early stages of population development;
- the possibility of mass capture;
- easy to use with deltoid and other types of traps.
Precautionary measures:
- Handle with care, avoid extensive hand contact and wear gloves when handling the product;
- Do not eat or drink while handling the product.
