DETAIL INFORMATION

Manufacturer: Russell IPM

Pheromone bait for monitoring and trapping the beet armyworm (Spodoptera exigua) also called karadrina, a broad polyphagous caterpillar that feeds on buds, buds, flowers and young leaves of more than 133 species of cultivated plants, preferring legumes and nightshades. The bait is a rubber dispenser containing artificially synthesized Spodoptera exigua identical to the natural pheromone and is in a sealed metallized sachet. The pheromone is a highly specific chemical that is only recognized by members of a single species and will attract male bollworms for 4-6 weeks.

Active ingredient: Z,E-9,12-tetradecadienyl acetate, Z-9-tetradecen-1-ol

Advantages:

  • for 6 weeks, male caradrinas are attracted by bait and caught by a trap, giving a clear picture of the pest population;
  • pest detection at early stages of population development;
  • the possibility of mass capture;
  • easy to use with deltoid and other types of traps.

Precautionary measures:

  • Handle with care, avoid extensive hand contact and wear gloves when handling the product;
  • Do not eat or drink while handling the product.
