Amblyseius swirskii (Neoseiulus swirskii) is a predatory phytoseid mite (Phytoseiidae) that feeds on thrips, whiteflies and some phytophagous mites. Being also a polyphage, in the absence of prey, it can survive by feeding on pollen. In its feeding activity, it prefers the first larval stage of thrips, as well as whitefly eggs and larvae. From 5 to 10 individuals of the pest can eat per day. The size of the tick is less than 1 mm, and the color, depending on the diet, can vary from purple and even reddish to light yellow. It tolerates high temperatures well, but air humidity should not fall below 60%. Doesn't range.
