Adults and nymphs eat white flies (Bemisia tabaci and Trialeurodes vaporariorum) and can control other pests like leafminers, thrips, red spider or Lepidoptera eggs. They prefer to eat eggs and larvae.
Nesidiocoris tenuis is used in tomato and aubergine crops. In spring-summer the development is ideal, in autumn it slows down and in winter it can be used in heated greenhouses. This species can damage the crops in case of lack of preys. For this reason it is necessary to monitor the predator/prey ratio .
