DETAIL INFORMATION

Manufacturer: ECOCULTURE RPE

Transeius montdorensis (earlier Amblyseius montdorensis) is a predatory mite from the phytoseiidae family that eats thrips, whiteflies and other small arthropods. As a polyphage, in the absence of prey, it can survive by feeding on pollen.

The tick has a beige color and reaches more than 0.4 mm in length. It is remarkable that Amblyseius montdorensis starts hunting already at a temperature of 14°C, which at low night temperatures makes it more effective pest control than Amblyseius swirskii. In its feeding activity, the tick prefers thrips larvae of the first and second instars, as well as whitefly larvae and eggs. Imago Transeius montdorensis can eat up to 15 whitefly larvae and up to 10 thrips larvae per day.

Advantages: since the sachet contains adults, nymphs and entomophage eggs, the exit of the predator from the bag will occur within 4 weeks, which will ensure long-term protection of the culture.
