Amblyseius andersoni -is a predatory mite used to control spider mites of Tetranychidae family (Tetranychus, Panonychus and Eotetranychus) and rusty mites of Eriophyidae family, such as members of the genus Aculops, and is also able to feed on small insects and pollen.
The ability to survive on pollen provides an easy fixation of the entomophage on the culture and makes it suitable for preventive evictions even in the absence of the most typical prey. It is a European species that is quite common in various habitats, including agrocenoses, where, however, its presence is usually reduced due to the action of pesticides. Under natural conditions falls into diapause, but becomes active as soon as the temperature rises above 8-10°C. During the summer season, the entomophage is active even at temperatures of 35-40 °C.
Advantages: since the sachet contains adults, nymphs and entomophage eggs, the exit of the predator from the bag will occur within 4 weeks, which will ensure long-term protection of the culture.
